STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOES NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove won’t ignite, check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas models. If the oven power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, then some other part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat will not do much. An oven will not heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner doesn’t turn on if an element is broken or when the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

It’s reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings aren’t working. In this case, we can fix control boards on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer parts we install for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen know how to diagnose the reason for the issue and then repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A common stove issue is that an igniter glows but it will not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to identify why the door does not open and then we complete the repair so we can correct the issue.
